Congress Scholarships


PROF. JOHN LOWRY CONGRESS SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships made on a competitive basis on the recommendation of the Endowment Committee are designed to support Junior Trainee and Undergraduate Student Members on a European training pathway and Specialist Trainee Members of EACMFS (plus those who have successfully completed training as specialists within three years of the date of application) in their participation in the 27th Congress in Rome (17-20th September 2024).

THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD OF 500 EUROS SHOULD BE USED FOR THE REGISTRATION FEE.

Candidates should have submitted an abstract for the presentation of a paper or poster in the main scientific programme and a copy of this and its acceptance is required with the application.

Each applicant should submit a curriculum vitae highlighting career aspirations and contributions already made to the specialty together with the aims, objectives and the gains anticipated from participation in the Congress.

Deadline – 30th JUNE preceding the Congress.

Please note that only one application for an award, scholarship or grant is permitted each calendar year. Applications for the Leibinger Award would also be considered.
Junio Trainee and Undergraduate Student Members/Specialist Trainee Members should be members for at least one year and reside/work inside the confines of Europe.



THE HELENE MATRAS SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships made on a competitive basis on the recommendation of the Endowment Committee are designed to support Trainee Members of EACMFS from the Eastern European Countries (and those who have successfully completed training as specialists within three years of the date of application) in their participation in the 27th Congress of the Association in Rome (17-20 September 2024).

THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD OF 500 EUROS SHOULD BE USED FOR THE REGISTRATION FEE.

Candidates should have submitted an abstract for the presentation of a paper or poster in the main scientific programme and a copy of this and its acceptance is required with the application.

Each applicant should submit a curriculum vitae highlighting career aspirations and contributions already made to the specialty together with the aims, objectives and the gains anticipated from participation in the Congress.

Trainee Members of the EACMFS from the following Eastern European Countries are eligible for the Scholarship:
Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Kosovo, Lithuania, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine
